I've had enough. I feel like there's a battle going on in our government and it's heading in a very wrong direction. I feel like I'm being given misleading information. I feel like there are special interest groups having an undue influence on the way our government works.
Here's what I want out of government besides protecting my right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness:
I want my elected and appointment officials to act on behalf of their constituents, and not for special interests or a personal agenda.
I want to have a voice in my local government, and my concerns to be heard without being dismissed.
I want to share my civic and fiscal responsibilities towards society fairly with my fellow citizens: I want a tax structure that asks all of us to pay a fair share towards the operations of our government. I want my government to spend my tax dollars wisely, and never forget the effort I've made to earn those tax dollars.
I want my freedom to practice my religion, and I want to keep others from imposing onto me with theirs.
I want government to do what private enterprise cannot do more fairly and effectively. I want government to ensure that our highways, bridges, water, and sewer lines are maintained so they are useful and safe. I want government to make sure our electric power and communication utilities are run so that there is a balance between private enterprise and the vital public interest.
I want both the natural environment and rural character in my state to be valued. I want to enjoy a quiet walk in the woods, and a paddle on the lake, without having to go far out of my way to do so.

I'm an independent voter who lives in Goffstown. I'm tired of partisan politics derailing the activities of government. I've had enough.
